OVERVIEW
Kemi Oluwagbemiro is an associate in the firm’s Corporate/Commercial practice group.
She focuses on capital markets, aviation, infrastructure, and commercial transactions. Kemi routinely advises on corporate restructuring and other strategic transactions which include equity or debt financing for investors and portfolio companies. She is also versed in regulatory compliance with Companies and Allied Matters Act, Investment and Securities Act, Anti-trust, Anti-corruption laws and other relevant laws where applicable which she does for several of the firm’s clients.
She Co-Authored the Nigerian chapter of Aviation Law Review for 2018 and 2019.
EXPERIENCE
- She currently works with the team that provides assistance to the Lagos State Government on a Commonwealth/United Nations assisted project for the development/implementation of policies, procedures and template licenses for ferry, freight and terminal operators, and creation of an urban renewal and regeneration guideline for the state.
- She was part of the team which produced the new Nigerian Maritime Safety and Administration Agency (NIMASA) Act draft for the repeal of the current Act.
- Acted as solicitor to the issue for the Series 1 Bond issue for Primero Securitisation Transaction N 15.5bn Bond Issuance Programme and N50 Billion Medium Term Note Programme by Gel Utility Funding SPV PLC (2019).
