History

F.O. Akinrele & Co was established in 1959 and has over the past 6 decades, acquired substantial experience in the delivery of high quality legal advice to both public and private sectors in Nigeria.

F.O. Akinrele & Co. between the 1960s and 1980s gradually expanded its practice from a general law practice into the specialised corporate sector and became internationally respected for its ability to provide specialist integrated legal advice and solutions to the corporate commercial sector.

F.O. Akinrele & Co.’s 6 decades of practice has involved the development of ideas and legal concepts across a wide range of practice areas from the Energy & Natural Resources sector to the Transport &
Telecommunications sectors and from the Banking & Financial Services sector to Project Financing & Infrastructure.

The firm currently maintains strong links across continents with international law firms and regional law firms across borders within Africa. The firm also manages a West African Network of correspondent law firms in 16 West and Southern African Countries from Senegal to Angola.
