Practice Focus

Chukwudi Eze is involved in Corporate Litigation in the practice areas within the Banking & Capital Markets Group, Corporate Group and Transport Law Group. He joined the firm in 2006.

He has vast experience in matters involving shareholder disputes, insolvency, telecommunications, debt recovery, product liability claims, aviation, banking and tax claims, personal injury and oil spill claims.

Chukwudi is a contributing editor to the Commercial law reports of Nigeria and has written a number of articles and reviews which include:
(1) The doctrine of waiver and renunciation of rights under the Bills of Exchange Act 1990: A Review of the case of Auto Import Export –v- J.A.A. Adebayo & ors (2006) 1 CLRN 1. (Published in the Commercial law reports of Nigeria Annual review and 2006 index).

(2) The Exclusive Jurisdiction of The Federal High Court in relation to the operation of the Companies and Allied Matters Act CAP C20 LFN 2008- the need for a touchstone jurisdictional test. A review of the case of Standard Trust Bank Plc –v- Chief Emmanuel Olusola (2007) 9 CLRN 41 (Published review in the Commercial law reports of Nigeria Annual review and 2007 index).
